Overview
The name of this bedroom was chosen to remember Caterina Benincasa (1347-1380), better known as Santa Caterina or Catherine of Siena, the patron of Italy and Europe.
The room is called Santa Caterina both because the steps where she fell down is very close to Il Battistero and also because from the terrace of this suite you have an amazing view of St Catherines’s Sanctuary (where she lived) and s. Domenico Church (where you can see her reliquies)
This wide suite with a king-size bed can accommodate two people.
The furnishing is modern, (Ivano Redaelli’scwardrobe) except for a little corner in which there is a cast-iron bathtub mounted over old neapolitan tiles from the 17th century.
The room comes complete with a private bathroom paved with modern grey tiles of the well-known Italian brand Mutina, a basin, a bidet, a toilet and a shower.
In the terracethere is a table with two chairs for relaxing, wine tasting or making breakfast.
